Reduced emission of air pollutants

District heating’s expansion and conversion from fossil fuels to renewable fuels has contributed to a significant reduction in the emission of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide as well as acidifying nitrogen and sulphur compounds.
From the 1980s, ENA Energy AB has successively increased the use of recyclable and renewable fuels. Today almost 100 % of the energy supplied is bio fuels.
